Nell toured with Jools Holland in December 2012 and began 2013 supporting Gary Barllow across the UK. She is currently enjoying Radio 2 rotation for her new album, Shake The Tree.
"Nell Bryden sings from the heart and shoots from the hip. The blonde bombshell from Brooklyn has the urban lifestyle in her blood, the country/folk spirit of Americana in her soul, and the great American songbook in her head."

THE DIRTY STRANGERS

The Dirty Strangers performed for the past/present residents of Acton, West London on 2nd September 2012.  An event that developed from a Facebook page, where Actonians gathered and shared memories of living in Acton. The band played in their usual effervescent and raunchy rhythm and blues style, encouraging a fair few vintage rock and rollers out of their seats.

Their website write-up refers to the band as 'cosmopolitan, a bit rough around the edges and beating with a heart of gold' and I'm sure that the revellers agree they were well worth dancing to (I did!).

The Dirty Strangers performed for Acton, West London at a grand re-union of Actonians on 2nd September 2012, held at Acton Garden Village
The band came to be in the late 1970's and was essentially the brain-spark of Alan Clayton, a West Londoner born and 'unbred' in Shepherds Bush.  Early sounds were influenced by punk, with eager tones of the likes of Eddie Cochran, Gene Vincent and Chuck Berry with a little bit of Otis Redding soul.

Clayton has toured with the Rolling Stones on their 'Bigger Bang' tour of 2005-2007, prior to which they'd worked together with or without their relative bands. Both Keith Richards and Ronnie Woods have featured on Dirty Strangers' albums.  Rock & Roll forever is a cert' wherever The Dirty Strangers choose to pluck, beat, stomp. They've appeared several times at the Ginglik in Shepherds Bush, London W12.

My favourites include 'She's a Real Botticelli' and 'Diamonds'

ROBERT LANE

I bopped to the sounds of Robert Lane, when he performed at a lunch time session at OPEN Ealing Arts Centre in the Spring of 2012. His musical and songwriting abilites in my opinion were the best, out of all the performers seen at the local arts centre.

Deep lyrics, touching a sensitive yet detached part of me. Reminiscent of some of David Gray's songs but with a uniqueness that's crowned by Robert Lane himself. That's my perception, why not listen for yourself?

ANNA TAYLOR

Take two singers, both talented artist,
both making the best out of life
through creating with the power of the word.

Their challenges have been very different
as are their style, genre and audience, but
the determination and perseverance with which
they both have faced the driads of life makes
them perfect beacons of hope for us all.

Polly Ford

I have never met Polly in person but I love her music!

Polly Ford and I met in an online forum that discussed/shared experiences of mystical phenomenon and/or philosphical reasoning. The music that Polly creates leaves me feeling in a state of being connected to a greater sphere of reality. That is if the great beyond is spherical! For me some things don't need to be explained, a certain pitch and tone is enough and I thank you Polly for always making me feel welcome in the world.
